Bell, one of the largest property service contractors in the UK, has recently acquired McDermid Decorators, which will continue to trade under its existing name and structure. Painting and decorating has always been at the heart of Bell’s story. This acquisition strengthens the company’s future in this work stream while honouring and protecting the McDermid legacy – a well-respected name in Scottish decorating.
Originally established in 1973, under the name of Ronald J McDermid Limited, McDermid Decorators is a trusted professional painting and decorating company based in Paisley, Scotland. With more than 50 years of experience, the company evolved to primarily focus on the new build housing sector, delivering exceptional interior and exterior finishes that exceed client expectations.
In October 2025, McDermid Decorators was acquired by Bell and continues to operate under its own name. However, the business now benefits from the extensive resources provided by the property services contractor.
